The last commentary about my wife’s Uter-Pot did not go well in some circles. I called my friend in the diversity and inclusion space and asked her what I missed. She explained. I understand. Onward.
The Great Resignation from the workplace is on. People want a better life for themselves and that’s great. But I just want a pizza on Saturday night and can’t get one.
When we say someone appears to be doing well, we’re talking about the stuff they’ve collected. A life well-lived is quite different, and should be our goal.
My wife and my discipline of our children may be quite unorthodox but it will certainly be memorable. Let’s hope they won’t want revenge.
I told my sons there was a job they’d be required to do a job that is not fun but is necessary.
Less is more. It’s the experience, not the consumption.
We all secretly want to be discovered. Partially for the fame. Partially because it may shortcut the hard work needed to be successful.
Maybe I should accept help from my neighbors when the cool fall air makes me want to get out an exercise again.
Visible hard work, accepting no shortcuts, and talking with conviction and passion about your goals increases your luck surface area. It works. I’m seeing it happening around me.
