Catching back up with Eleven86: More than just selling water
Posted On December 3, 2019
Back in April, we met Marquis Forge, who left the automotive industry to answer a call from on high – a call to enter an industry he knew little about. Forge founded Eleven86 Water in Autaugaville, Alabama with a mission to help revitalize the town in which it’s produced.
“This is a homegrown, bottled-at-the-source, state of Alabama product,” Forge notes.
Recently, I caught back up with Forge in a live edition of “What’s Working With Cam Marston,” and got an update on how the business has grown in the seven months since we last spoke.
That growth has been steady. Eleven86 recently moved into the Houston market and was named the official water of the state of Alabama.
The company has been busy in the Mobile area, as well, providing water for events such as the Azalea Trail Run while supplying local grocery stores such as Piggly Wiggly and Rouses and hotels such as the Battle House and the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza.
Forge shares how the company has grown from a dream that was turned down by 18 banks to an on-site bottling plant that can produce 80 million bottles annually. He tells us what makes Eleven86 water special, and how many times he had to fall back on faith in order to bring it to the public.
It is that faith in God, Forge says, that has driven the business from the beginning. And showing the fruits of that faith is as much a part of the business model as selling water.
“It is an engine, a catalyst,” he says of his product. “It could have been pigs, a catfish farm. It could have been anything. The main driver of this whole conversation is being obedient.”
Join us as we reconnect with Marquis Forge and his uplifting story about answering the call.
